In 24 hours, 8 plays will be written, directed and performed by a magnificent group of artists, put together at random to be presented to you at 8pm on Sunday October 3rd. This is going to be a special collaboration between college students and professional artists.

Among others, plays will be written by Michael Birch, Bricken Sparacino, Reid Aronson, and David Slate.

The plays will feature the acting and directing of Kim Braun, Jamil Mangan, John Kelly, Brooke Volkert,Christine Perotta, Grace Painter, Jim Anderson, Elohim Pena, Sue Berch, Andrea Earles, Michelle Bialeck, Amy E. Witting, Glenn Stoops, Davi Santos and many more super talents.

ACTion: Ecuador 2009 Showcase, “Hecho en Ecuador”
Over the course of this summer, 100 theatre artists from across this United States will journey throughout the country of Ecuador. These artists will explore the diverse cultures and terrain, engage with local communities through service projects, learn traditional Andean Mask Dances, workshop with local artists, and build original, short pieces of theatre based upon and inspired by their experience abroad. These pieces will be created in Ecuador through collaboration with each other and local artists.

Travelling with Dramatic Adventure Theatre (DAT) to ECUADOR
ACTion Ecuador
I will be travelling to Ecuador this summer as part of a theatre community service project. We will be working on building a community center in Quilotoa, teaching theatre skills to kids in La Selva and creating a piece of theatre to showcase upon our return. Quilotoa is an Andean community where they still speak traditional Quechuan. People have been leaving this small community to live in larger cities where they can make more money. We are building the community center in order to create a space for cultural ideas and knowledge to be shared. For more information please visit Dramatic Adventure.
